Travel writer and broadcaster, John Crook targets the world of travel, food and wine, sharing his knowledge and experiences with an audience which is hungry for travel information.

During the 70's and 80's his television travel programs (The Down Under Show) were telecast on NETWORK TEN AUSTRALIA and throughout Europe and Great Britain via SKY-TV.

These days he concentrates on producing syndicated radio programs which are broadcast on 85 radio stations, and his newspaper travel pages.

Another radio series, Around the World, hosted by travel writer Ren Zwiers, also includes weekly content from thetravelman, segments of which are broadcast through a sister program in the USA.

In association with his former cine cameraman Rod Harris, the Harris-Crook duo produce this, thetravelman website.
